GIJÓN has three beautiful city beaches with golden sand. Along with the Marina, they offer a wide variety of opportunities for spare time activities: sailing, fishing, scuba diving, boat trips... Musel is one of Spain´s most important industrial harbors.
Gijón abounds with tourist attractions: summer festivities, exquisite gastronomy, conventions, sporting events, walking tracks through spectacular scenery, the Atlantic Botanical Gardens, and a fascinating cultural wealth: Archeological track of Roman remnants (Campo Valdés baths, City Walls, Clock Tower), important Museums, among which the Natal House of Jovellanos and the Revillagigedo Palace, both of them in Cimadevilla, the old fishermen quarters.
This is Gijón, the great maritime Cantabrian city, probably the most dynamic and cosmopolitan of them all.
